Professor K.W. Lo and Professor Anna Tsang of ACE NanoMed win Silver Medals at the 49th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva 2024

ACE NanoMed, a leading drug research and development company, is proud to announce that Professor K.W. Lo and Professor Anna Tsang, Directors of ACE NanoMed, have achieved unprecedented success at the 49th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva 2024 in Switzerland, winning two silver medals. This esteemed exhibition is widely regarded as one of the most important annual global events dedicated solely to inventions.

The silver medals were awarded for the outstanding projects titled "Aptamers as Drug-vehicles and Imaging-probes for EBV-associated Malignancies" and "Synthetic mRNA for Treating EBV-associated Cancers." These projects showcase ACE NanoMed's dedication to innovative solutions in the field of medical research and development.

The project "Aptamers as Drug-vehicles and Imaging-probes for EBV-associated Malignancies" focuses on the use of aptamers, which can be conjugated with chemodrugs for targeted delivery to EBV-associated tumors in vivo. Moreover, these aptamers have the potential to serve as imaging probes through conjugation with detection fluorescence or agents, providing a multifaceted approach to diagnosis and treatment.

The project "Synthetic mRNA for Treating EBV-associated Cancers" introduces a groundbreaking synthetic mRNA nanomedicine designed to effectively activate EBV lytic genes for lytic induction therapy against EBV-driven cancers. This first-in-class approach holds great promise for the treatment of EBV-associated cancers, offering new possibilities for patients and healthcare providers.

The International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva is the largest global exhibition devoted exclusively to inventions, and all entries are evaluated by an international jury of specialists. This year's exhibition showcased over 1,035 inventions from 38 countries and regions, making the professor's achievements even more remarkable.

The exhibition is held under the patronage of the Swiss Government, the Republic and Canton of Geneva, the City of Geneva, and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). The unparalleled support received by the International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva underscores its exceptional quality and global recognition as the premier inventions exhibition.

These silver medals affirm the professors' commitment to innovation and its mission to develop groundbreaking solutions for the benefit of patients worldwide. ACE NanoMed extends its gratitude to the organizers, the international jury, and all those who have contributed to this remarkable achievement.
